Royal Salute, a well-known Scotch whisky brand, has released a new limited-edition luxury series, collectively called the 62 Gun Salute collection.

Royal Salute, a distinguished Scotch whisky brand, has introduced a new and limited-edition luxury series named the 62 Gun Salute Collection. This series includes three exceptional whiskies: the Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Original Reserve, the American Oak Reserve, and the Peated Reserve.

This prestigious launch signifies a significant milestone for the brand, which is owned by Pernod Ricard and bottled by Chivas Brothers at the Strathisla Distillery in Speyside, Scotland.

A Tribute to Legacy and Tradition

The 62 Gun Salute Collection is a tribute to Royal Salute’s historical legacy and the royal traditions it has long celebrated.

First launched in 1953 to honor Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation, Royal Salute has continued this tradition, most recently with a special bottle for the coronation of King Charles III in 2023.

The collection’s name is derived from the 62-gun salute fired at the Tower of London to mark royal anniversaries and special occasions, one of the highest honors in the British Royal Navy.

This limited-edition release features a meticulously crafted blend of some of the oldest and rarest whiskies in Royal Salute’s extensive inventory. Each whisky in the collection is aged for a minimum of 40 years, offering a luxurious and rich flavor profile.

The blend is described as having notes of dark chocolate, sweet orange, and a hint of smokiness, reflecting the depth and complexity expected from such aged whiskies.

Masterpiece Packaging

The packaging of the 62 Gun Salute Collection is as exquisite as the whisky itself. Each whisky is presented in a decanter made from Dartington Crystal, adorned with 24-carat gold and a handcrafted crystal stopper.

The decanters are individually numbered, adding to their exclusivity and appeal among collectors and connoisseurs.

The design of the decanter draws inspiration from the ceremonial cannons used in the 62-gun salute, featuring intricate detailing and a regal aesthetic. The bespoke wooden box that houses the decanter further enhances the luxury experience.

Availability and Pricing

The 62 Gun Salute Collection will be available in limited quantities, with each bottle sold separately. The Original Reserve is priced at $3,000, and the American Oak Reserve at $3,300, both available for purchase worldwide.

The Peated Reserve, also priced at $3,300, will initially be released exclusively through duty-free outlets around the world.
